Backyard Designs

i would like to have a pergola (A garden structure with an open wooden-framed roof) but unable to decide on the shape/material and design!
whether(contemporary/mediterranean/traditional…etc).
the house is semi mediterranean semi contemporary. covered with stone and marble (neutral earthy desert colors. ) the house has visible angularity (two connected boxes by their corners). the garden floor is also covered with hard redish marble/sement and its full of plants (palms, evergreens cactus tropical…etc)

any suggestions??

oh…the structure will be free standing on an rectangular area of about 18 square meters (3*6)meters.

As ive already said I need a website that i can design or arrange a room for FREE! the FREE thing is really important to me so please dont give me a website that even pays like 99cents! i wont use it! Also, i already use Better Homes and Gardens Arrange a room but you cant like put a color on a wall or just see on wall by its self! You could also give me a comuter software from like Target or somthing that YOU have thought was a good software appliance! Hope someone out there knows something of the sort! Hope you can help! I know I’ve probably turned off a lot of buyers (for future sale) but also may have attracted some. Anyone have any experience with this? I know when I was first looking at homes, if I found one I liked with a pool that would have been a plus. I have 2 kids and have always dreamt of having my own pool; especially after having lived in apartments for 8 years. I’m just wondering if an above ground pool is a nice attraction if done well with nice landscaping.

I’m pondering getting an inground pool installed back here. I know the best way to find out details would be to contact local people-but I’m very curious about how I would go about finding someone reputable. Noone in the area has an installed pool,and noone we know happens to,either!

Any suggestions? (this goes for fish ponds,too,as well as landscaping. and door installion. and plumbing. lol. Our house needs renovation!)

I live in a home with a detached garage in the backyard and we have a chain link fence gate between the front and back yard. It’s unwieldy to get back to the garage with a car b/c we have to get out of the car each time to open and close the gate.

I’ve been looking into contracting out or installing an automatic gate opener. It just needs to fit one car. I’ve done research and was curious if someone had a recommended vendor or contractor in the central Texas area. Also, any experience with a particular brand of opener or gate? And any experience with design requirements for automatic gates?

I am really into interior and exterior design. I have found many websites to make a floor plan for the inside of a house, but what are some good free websites that help design the landscaping of a house? Also preferably a website in which i can plan out whats already in my back yard and just make modifications. any ideas?

I have a 16 ft. pool,and they didn’t dig down deep enough, now it looks like it is sitting on top of the groud. I would like to do some landscaping. Any suggestions?

We are building a pavilion in our backyard and are scouring the internet looking for designs for brick fireplaces to put in a pavilion… does anyone have a link to a site that has designs for one? Thank you in advance for your help!
